This week Ricky & Gavin talk to Lazarus Associate Bobby Locke. Bobby Locke is a composer and music supervisor, who has worked on projects in theatre, film, dance, and animation. Bobby’s Lazarus journey began in 2016 when he joined the company to compose a brand new score of Brecht’s Caucasian Chalk Circle in collaboration with Neil McKeown which played at the Jack Studio Theatre. He then went on to revive his duties when that production transferred the following year to The Greenwich Theatre. Also in 2016 Bobby composed a new score and songs for our production of John Gay’s The Beggar’s Opera with Chris Drohan, 2018 Bobby composed music and songs for A Midsummer Night’s Dream and in 2019 followed up his Shakespeare exploration on the Tempest working with sound designer Sam Glossop. As we went into lockdown 1 we were collaborating on a new score with new songs for our now postponed production of JM Barrie’s Peter Pan!

This week Ricky & Gavin talk to actor, musician, writer, self proclaimed nerd and Lazarus Alumn Paula James! Paula trained at Drama Studio London and has appeared on stage and screen, in London, around the UK and internationally, had multiple plays performed in theatres around London and written and released an EP. Paula began her Lazarus voyage over 10 years ago in our 2010 production of Hecuba at the New Diorama Theatre, then went on to play queens, duchesses and sisters of Kings from Greece, Italy and Judea in Electra, The Revengers Tragedy, with last week’s Guest, Jamie O’Neill, and in the first professional production of the first play written by a woman, The Tragedy of Mariam.

Ricky & Gavin talk to actor & Lazarus Associate, Jamie O'Neill. Jamie trained at The Poor School & has appeared on stage & screen, most recently in new episode of Doctors! Jamie began his Lazarus journey in Revenger’s Tragedy in 2015 at the Jack Studio Theatre, he then went on to play Mortimer in Edward II, twice, firstly at The Tristan Bates Theatre & then at Greenwich Theatre in 2017 / 2018. In 2019 played the role of Herod in our new production of Oscar Wilde’s Salome & most recently took on the title role in Macbeth which played in March 2020, shortly before the pandemic & lockdown one!

This week Ricky and Gavin talk to designer and Lazarus Associate Artist, Sorcha Corcoran. Sorcha has worked nationally, and internationally as set, costume and events designer; her skills and experience cover many different areas including opera, fringe theatre, musicals, installations and live events. Her first project with Lazarus was as assistant to Richard Evans on The Merchant of Venice in 2013, which played at the Brockley Jack Studio Theatre, since then Sorcha has gone on to design set, costume or both on 7 productions including Caucasian Chalk Circle and our most recent production of Macbeth.
Sorcha trained at Rose Bruford College.
Sorcha is passionate about finding the individuality, originality, and character of each new project. She aims to work collaboratively and thus inspire the most evocative design in the context of the piece.
